About Corrimal Public
Corrimal Public School is of significance for the local area for historical, social and reasons of representativeness. The site and buildings are associated with provision of public education since late 1880s and have a wide appreciation in, and associations with, the local community. The complex includes a set of buildings, with a number of structures indicative of the standard design of educational facilities in NSW at the time of their creation. The main building is representative of the Victorian period school buildings. The place is a related place, in heritage terms, to the adjoining Headmaster's Residence, which is now incorporated in the School site boundaries.
